High School Inc. Foundation
In an effort to increase awareness of High School Inc. and secure necessary financial resources, in June of 2011 the Santa Ana Unified School District and the Santa Ana Chamber joined with the Orange County business community, to establish High School Inc. Foundation, a California nonprofit 501 (c) (3). The Foundation's mission is to raise awareness of High School, Inc., develop strategic partnerships, and ultimately increase funding to carry out the organization's mission.
High School Inc. has been generously supported by Allstate, AT&T, Croul Family Foundation, Opus Bank Foundation, Chase Family Foundation, Edwards Life Sciences, Dhont Family Foundation, Orange County Community Foundation, Crevier Classic Cars, OCADA, Tom’s Truck Centers, Lester Family Foundation, and many others.
High School Inc. Foundation Board of Directors
High School Inc. Foundation's Board consists of members of both Orange County business and educational communities. Led by Donnie Crevier, Chairman and owner of Crevier Classic Cars and Mark McLoughlin, President and part owner of J. Crain Corporation, our board is actively engaged in fund raising and the development of strategic resources required to support High School Inc. academies.
With a focus on capacity-building funds to be used for operating expenses, Board members have individually pledged $5,000 annually, with 50% of those funds originating from their personal financial resources.
In 2015, Shaylin Johnson was hired as the High School Inc Foundation Program Director. As program director, Shaylin works on campus with the SAUSD / Valley High School Staff, business partners, and students. She organizes tours, special events, and internships, along with supporting students coordinating field trips and local / national competitions.
Tours of the High School Inc Academies are availiable every week at Valley High School on Wednesday's from 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM. The tours are a great way to see first hand the wonderful activities/projects our students are engaged in on a daily basis. It is also a great way to learn how you and your company can become a business partner! As a business partner you can mentor students, provide internships, open your business for tours, contribute to programs and so much more...
